Every marketplace can host both buyers and sellers.

The owner of the independent marketplace hosting the seller receives 20% of the $500 seller technology fee: $100. The owner of the independent marketplace hosting the buyer receives 20% of the $1,500 buyer technology fee: $300.

Every marketplace can host both buyers and sellers; these are transaction roles, not marketplace types. If one marketplace hosts both members of a completed sale, its owner receives $100 + $300 = $400. If different marketplaces bring the seller and buyer, the seller’s marketplace receives $100 and the buyer’s marketplace receives $300. The share follows the member. These percentages apply to technology fees, not property sale prices. Shares arise from completed transactions, not simply a listing or offer. The seller technology fee is paid at settlement and disbursed by the title company.
